Maroons meet with Students at Franklin Elementary School

On Friday, the coaching staff and about 15 Juniors went down to Franklin Elementary School to speak with the students before their school day began.

The players, all soon to be seniors, walked and talked with the kids before school and a few players even addressed the students as a group. The message of the day was that grades are important, respect for your parents, teachers and coaches is important and that character counts!

Character education is a big part of Franklin Elementary School and here at Belleville West. The experience is important for both the kids and the players. The kids get to hear a positive message and interact with players that many of them look up to. The players get to see that they are role models and can be positive influences on the younger kids in the community.

We thank Franklin Elementary for allowing us to come down and be a part of their day!
