Maroons report to camp

The long, hot summer workouts are over for schools across the state and teams are permitted to start their pre-season camps on August 10th. The Maroons will take the field this year under new Head Coach Cameron Pettus. This summer has been great for the Maroons as they spent their days out in the heat fine tuning their vaunted 3-4 Defense, while installing new Offensive Coordinator Jason Burianek's pro-style offense. Summer workout attendance was through the roof, and there is a lot of excitement among the players, coaching staff and in the community surrounding the program. The players report to camp tomorrow at 7 a.m. to begin their first week of practice before heading into the season. The Maroons will end this week with an intrasquad scrimmage on Saturday night under the lights at Belleville West High School. West plays it's first game August 26th against Reitz Memorial High School at Bosse Field in Evansville Indiana.
