8 Belleville West Maroons were selected to represent the state of Illinois in the Missouri vs. Illinois All star game held on Saturday. The Illinois team was made up of players selected from various teams throughout the metro east. The players selected from West were LB Pierre Gee-Tucker, WR/DB Mech Spraggins, LB Tremont Davis, T Ross Dosier, NT Marquis Cherry, TE Donnie Foster, FS Marquis Brown, and WR Nick Simmonds. Head Coach Cameron Pettus was also selected to run the defense for the Illinois squad.
While the Illinois All Stars lost the game to the Missouri All stars it was a great expierience for all of the players and coaches involved. The players got to play along side of guys they played against over the last 4 years or in many cases guys from other conferences.
